Finally got back to swimming..

Hello there!

I stopped swimming for a while since the fasting month. That was like two months ago plus. I finally got back to the pool last week!

Was worried about how bad it would be, but it was better than expected. I know the key to becoming a better swimmer is to practice, practice, practice... but my schedule's kind of busy.. with a baby and all... hehe.. will have to be more serious about this...

While away from the pool, i got reading about freediving.. very interesting, will share more in the future.

Ok, hope to be back here sooner than a couple of month ;)

Good day to all,

We are now in the last week of Ramadan, the great month nearing its end.. how valuable this last few days are. It also means that Eidul Fitri is approaching fast.. as can be seen by the shopping frenzy in town. Wish we had our priorities better placed during this last few days though.. 

Oh, and i haven't touched the pool at all! No opportunity to go for a night swim.. can't wait to go swimming again. Have been learning some new stuff about snorkeling on the net.. it would be cool to try them out.

Anyway that can wait, for now i would like to wish all muslims to do your best for the last few days of Ramadan, and have a wonderful Eidul Fitri!

Welcoming The Holy Month of Ramadan

Tomorrow marks the beginning of Ramadan, where Muslims will observe fasting for a month. It is a special month  for the betterment of self, not just to abstain from eating and drinking from dusk till dawn.

I have been swimming twice a week for the past month, in order to improve my swimming and my health. Fasting also helps to improve your health, but i would need to avoid swimming during fasting (dusk till dawn) since in my opinion it goes against the principles of fasting, with swallowing water and all (unless swimming is your job instead of just for recreation).. so i have to try swimming at night.. not sure i can do that twice a week..

Anyway it is just for a month, i actually plan to start swimming 3 times a week, or swim, gym, swim.. alternately.. will target that after Ramadan..
